Middle-level Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Middle-level learning is when students reflect on talents, make personal choices, and consider career interests. New York, like several states, is strengthening the middle-level band of the CTE continuum to support students in relevant learning and career planning. CTE adds relevancy to students' learning experiences through real-world projects and connecting academics to career and college options. This lesson focuses on the NYS model for middle-level CTE to guide teachers and administrators to design programs to meet the community and students' needs to support their personal development and career exploration.
